Hi KM Users & Happy New Year To All

Thank you for working on KM Goanna

First of all, I'm on dialup.
I managed to dl 3.4.2.01012018 & so far so good.

The problem is that I've tried 3 times to dl 3.4.2.01062018 & the first 2 times the dl stopped at 51% with my dl manager that I always use & the 3rd dl was thru
KM 3.4.2.01012018 dl manager & the dl also stopped so, I'm rather at my wit's end.

I have been using KM for years & I truly like this browser alot

I'm sure KM Goanna is gonna be a popular browser also.

How to get the dl is my problem so, I'm asking for help in this matter.

I truly thank you all for your responses. You must know that being on dialup truly tests my patience. For the lack of $$$ prevents me from going faster

Well, I posted long time ago that KMeleon 76RC2 pro portable by@rodocop was the only browser that allowed me to download files from a large distance WiFi hotspot, probably it will help you.

Edited: KM76RC2 is able to download entire KMGoanna with dialup, tested and verified with one old dialup 14kb/s modem/fax.

You may try removing the "s" from https://... (i.e. using legacy http protocol to see if you can download it)

If developers permit, can a user split the current build in to parts and upload in custom servers so that Dial-up users can be helped??

I wanted to test these facts by myself, and I have downloaded an entire 49Mb file with KMeleonRC2-pro with an old modem/fax, 14Kb/s maximum speed. However, I was unable to download it with KMeleon Goanna, same behaviour as wrote by @Happy.KM.User at first post. I wonder why! :mad:

Interesting... Perhaps one of the download prefs, Rodocop likes to tweak and 'improve' default settings too :cool: If you look into about:config of both browsers and filter for "download", perhaps you find an interesting difference? But of course, can be all sorts of other reasons too.

I tested the fact with KMeleon75 too and I was able to download the file.
Probably it can be other reasons imho, as also you wrote. :s

I found WinWGet@PortableApps.COM & I'll download it & give it a whirl. I still have the above suggestions so, all of this should keep me busy for a while

you can see the network activity to discover what processes are using the net (e.g. svchost.exe of windows update, antivirus updates and so forth) with the "resource monitor" of Windows. You also can disable the service or kill the program that reduces the speed if you are downloading other more important software at the moment. Good luck!

Well, "but you can try" sounds about right for me.
I've used the CMD a few yrs. back because my interest was peaked at the time but, I've gotten away from the console versions of anything.
GUI's have spoiled me but, there are a few advantages to knowing how to tap out on the console side of technology.

Actually I have KM Pro 76RC2 already installed but I usually always use one of my dl managers unless I get desperate or at my wits end and I didn't get to 76RC2 before my wits end arrived.
