Hello, I want the results to appear on the left side of the screen when I search on Google. At this moment they are not well framed on the screen and on the left side there is a lot of free space that is wasted. This type of display does not take into account the resolution at which the monitor is set. You can see what I mean in the following link: https://ibb.co/kHhckNx

@tony

Does it happen on any browser?

Because they are already setting 180px on the left margin (through JavaScript+CSS (I correct myself, it is all in one line and I thought it was from a script)) on their own code...

You can tweak it through userContent.css or adblock.css, but, one way or another, they are deciding themselves that the #center_col MUST have 180px of left margin.

I only tried firefox and kmeleon. It also happens with the firefox browser. I did not download chrome, opera or any other browser.

I'm switching from version 76.2 on Goanna 3.4.4 to this one and I have a question about the use of youtube.
In the older version I could change the FF version in the entries "general.useragent.override.gaming.youtube.com"
"general.useragent.override.youtube.com".
In the new version of K-Meleon is only one entry left "general.useragent.override.youtube.com" and I can't change the version of FF there. Is that correct or is there a way to do that?

Hello @martin7, please first check if this entry is set to true:
general.useragent.site_specific_overrides > true
Then double click on entry general.useragent.override.youtube.com,
a little pop up window will appear, and now you can change its UA,
just copy and paste any other one that you need, (however no version
of FF over 62 will work with youtube); if you want Firefox UA then:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0

Now just click with right button of the mouse on that screen and other
little window will appear, select new, (new string), and first add
general.useragent.override.gaming.youtube.com and then add value
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0
Just restart Kmeleon and check if the changes have been saved.

If you want to set the same UA to all sites, then you set to false:
general.useragent.site_specific_overrides > false
then add (as I explained above) a new string with this content:
general.useragent.override and set it to the UA you prefer.
Please remember that you can save and export all preferences
and settings of about:config in an easy way following the
procedures explained and discussed at this useful thread:

I have noticed that to see Youtube website in a right way, content manipulation should be off.
I meant, preferences > javascript > content manipulation > disallow scripts to change images (...) = off.

That helps a lot, because the Youtube site is now loading much more faster. Still Youtube is very instable. Watching videos can cause a crash from K-Meleon from time to time and watching livestreams K-Meleon crashes very often. Is there any way to get K-Meleon more stable when watching videos and livestreams on Youtube? When I use Firefox directly I have now problems.

These settings are working fine for me with Youtube website:
1) try to decrease video quality to 480p or 360p, or even 144p when listen music is the choice.
2) preferences > network/performance > disable "enable link prefetching" to save bandwidth and cpu.
3) preferences > network/performance > cache > if you have low ram, disable cache files in memory.
4) preferences > network/performance > cache > if you have slow hdd, disable cache files on disk.
5) about:config, search browser.cache.compression_level > set it to 9 (maximum value)
I hope these settings also will work fine for you! smiling smiley

Regarding preload stuff, to save bandwith on slow machines, and partly to help privacy, there's as usual not just one switch, but several hiding in the woods. Would open about:config and just filter for everything with
"preload" and "prefetch" and "seer" (FF21-31) and "predictor" (FF32+) etc.
No idea which prefs apply to KM as well, or which ones may need manual pref creation first, just for info for people with a strong interest in such stuff.

Does clicking the left mouse button on the chart and dragging left or right exactly work? Then I'll look for it at my place. Thanks.

I just discovered K-Meleon and think it's pretty cool. Could this project for its weekly stable updates have an SHA256 or SHA512 hash to help verify the download? And the past number of releases didn't include a gpg signature attachment either.

Not frequently, it's always so something is wrong. sad smiley

Note: solved!
about:config, seek the next string and set its value to:
general.useragent.override.youtube.com > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 (Pale Moon)
(info about OS versions : W7= NT 6.1; W8= NT 6.2; W8.1= NT 6.3; W10= NT 10.0 in the string above listed)

And I want to remember that dailymotion is still not working.

Happy lockdown to all

Note: still not solved for Facebook.
about:config, seek these two next strings and set their values to:
general.useragent.override.facebook.com > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
general.useragent.override.fbcdn.net > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

(info about OS versions : W7= NT 6.1; W8= NT 6.2; W8.1= NT 6.3; W10= NT 10.0 in the string above listed)
Note2: still no solution for Dailymotion neither.

Yet another method to solve the problem with youtube:
clear "general.useragent.override.youtube.com" and leave it blank.

Setting a predefined site-specific useragent to nothing disables this site-exception, and sends instead the native default UA (when I last tested) And that native one includes system info again.
