storage

Hallo,

storage.vacuum.last
storage.vacuum.last.places.sqlite
device.storage.enabled
dom.storage.default_quota
dom.storage.enabled

Ist es eine davon?

Danke fuer euere Hilfe.

You can do a search of the preference entries. Look for answers from the kb.mozillazine.org. If the translation was correct and if I understood correctly then perhaps the link below is the information that you requested.

Hallo JamesD,

danke fuer deine Antwort.

darauf wird http+++shop.lenovo.com erstellt.

kA, test:
dom.indexedDB.enabled = false
offline-apps.allow_by_default = false
offline-apps.quota.warn = 0

WHOA... scary stuff!! Ganz schön erschreckend, wie üblich:

Wow... WTF... Mozilla considers 50 MEGABYTES to be a "small amount of data" and will store it without the user's permission even when the user has explicitly specified that they want to be told "when a website asks to store data for offline use".

8. Flash cookies (for users with Flash installed)

Follow that link through, and you arrive at:
offline-apps.allow_by_default;true
offline-apps.quota.warn;51200
So I just changed mine to false and 512. We'll see how that travels smiling smiley

@Archer

Translation: Does it occur with scripting disabled as well?

@Yogi

javascript.options.asmjs = false

Translation:
A: It doesn't occur if scripting is disabled.
Y: Try as a test to change in "about:config" the below setting to false. Restart KM and see if the issue occurs with scripting enabled.
javascript.options.asmjs = false

@Yogi

dom.indexedDB.enabled = false

browser.cache.offline.capacity = 0
browser.cache.offline.enable = false
dom.indexedDB.enabled = false
dom.storage.enabled = false

But remember: some sites cannot work properly with local storage disabled!

@Rodocop

Those settings are fine - for lenovo.com at least.
IMHO the first setting
browser.cache.offline.capacity = 0
is redundant since
browser.cache.offline.enable = false
supersedes it.

Now visit rt.com and test if some metadata gets stored despite of your settings. smiling smiley

browser.cache.offline.enable = false
Prevents creation (if absent) or use of folder 'Offline cache' in profile

dom.indexedDB.enabled = false
javascript.options.asmjs = false
Prevents creation (if absent) or use of folder 'storage' in profile Thanks to Yogi for second pref!
NB! Breaks functionality of some sites relying on HTML5 techs

dom.storage.enabled = false
Prevents creation (if absent) or use of file 'wepappsstore.sqlite' in profile
NB! Breaks functionality of some sites relying on flash or HTML5 techs

Oh, those russian hackers!

But you're right - javascript.options.asmjs = false solves this

Not only russian hackers.
There are also other sites using that trick - among them Facebook as well, if I recall exactly.

Be aware that the above setting might have a negative impact on JS performance on some sites like Facebook.
