Any email link in Outlook Express won't launch K-Meleon, I've went through the windows registry and corrected what was left out, Is there anything else to do that will allow a Link in Outlook Express to Launch K-Meleon when clicked on?

Which version of OE are you using? If it is OE5.x, then this is a known bug (attribute) with it, as it will only launch IE by default (regardless of whichever browser you have set as system default). With OE6.x however, it is a different kettle of fish. The last time I tested it (a while back), it did launch the system default browser, so you basically have to have the correct settings in place (http, html docs). If you have not set K-Meleon as your default, then I might suggest using SetBrowser to do so:

Of course naturally the better idea is to dump OE and go with another email client. Here are some suggestions:
GeminiSoft Pimmy:

Pegasus Mail:

If you have K-Meleon set as the default browser, then these programs will launch it correctly when clicking on a hyperlink.

Sorry I use OE6.x and It's always kept up to date. Some links won't launch at all while others do, Like paypal.com doesn't although ebay.com does just fine as does amdforums.com. And I would rather keep OE as It's all I can afford right now. But I will check out those two links and at least try them.

Both of those email clients (Pimmy and Pegasus Mail) are free, so the monetary cost won't be too much of a barrier. However, like anything they will take a bit of time to learn. Pegasus Mail can be incredibly powerful, but it definitely takes getting used too.

I am now using the Pimmy in conjunction with PocoMail (with Poco only acting as my email composer for styled mail). It's great! I really like the IM-style interface, its such a wonderful idea for a mail client! Thanks for the link Andy! Good stuff! smiling smiley

Dear Zoom, forgive my naivity but I could suggest an idea which might seem frivolous.Lauch the set up once again and in the dialogue which appears leave only the default browser part ticked right. Press to install and I presume you should be through. Bye
