K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
K-meleon is already the smallest browser,
K-meleon should be the best,simpliest and most funtional of all
I'm using kmeleon07.1-mm1.5b.exe
Java: j2re-1_4_2_01-windows-i586-iftw.exe
AxtiveX is deleted
My sugestions,don't flame me, i'm serious
Errors :
- when K-meleon is opened and i open another browser,
when i open then a new K-meleon window, copy an address in the addressbar
, press enter then i get an error in user32,dll, i have to close this
errorwindow and are bumped out of all K-meleon windows
this happens sometimes and sometimes not, but is frequent
_ when i click onto a standard windows link, i got an errormessage, but
the site get loaded,Firebird doesn't have this problem
Improvements:
- Downloadmanager:
- a possibility to paramameter the Downloadmanager so that he doesn't
show up, when saving images, this is really disturbing
- a separate history a la Opera,that shows what and where it is downloaded,
if the Downloadmanager is disabled for certain files, they should not
show up in this history, but only in the general history
- Titlebar :
- an icon to close all but the active windows
- an icon to stop/enable all transmissions
- an icon to organize all layers into 1 window
- an icon to switch/unswitch all windows into layers
- an icon to open a new window
- an icon to open a new layer
- an icon for the background, as some sites can be ireadable,
each click will give another background,mayby 6 different + the original
- mayby icon for history
- mayby icon for cleaning cache
- Layerbar :
- an icon to close the active layer window
- an icon to close all but the active layer window
- Exit:
a possibility to confirm exit
- Startup:
a possibility to restart the closed windows,
especially when bumped out, like Opera
- Delete Printing Icon, this is never used , is already in the menu
I use Myie2, this is a good browser, but with to many options
I use opera 6.06, as this is better as opera 7.xx ,but K-Meleon
renders better the look and colors and is smaller
If this could be performed onto K-Meleon , this should be
my preferred browser,small, functional,simple

The version you are using is not an official build. The user32.dll error you get is specific to that build and to my knowledge is not experienced in any of the official builds. Contact MonkeeSage or at the very least place his user name in your thread title. however, that particular error he doesn't have a solution for at the moment. His 1.5a build doesn't seem to produce that bug. There was a copy at this URL:

The other error is related to DDE. Read the FAQ in the Documentation section or this thread and that'll guide you how to correct it.
As for the rest of your requests. Most of them can be done through the macros plugin. I have most of them in my menus & toolbars. Read the documentation or do forum searches for each unless you're lucky and someone is very kind to answer all of your questions in this thread which can happen on occassion :-)
