I tried to send this to the dev-list, but my mail needs approval and for some reason I don't get it. Although I subscribed to the list and send it with the right email adress. So I decided to post it here, so it's at least recognised:

Inspired by the idea of Ulf I ran K-Meleon 0.8.2 in the Dependency
Walker
on my Windows 98SE. I got the following things:

- K-Meleon needs the ODBC32.DLL. I don't have this DLL on my system,
but I can't see a problem while running it. Is it really needed? Dan
the dependency removed eventually?

- it also tries to load *all* plugins, although I don't have them. It

even looks for the pretty old "weasel.dll" and "winamp.dll". It
should only load the DLLs, that are in the kplugins folder and not a
static list of them

- I also got a lot of calls to a function "NODL_TABLE", that isn't
found. It looks for some in several of the mozilla DLLs and is called

from nspr4.dll.
example:
GetProcAddress(0x00B20000 [GKLAYOUT.DLL], "NODL_TABLE") called from
"NSPR4.DLL" at address 0x30007616 and returned NULL. Error: Das
angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden (126).

- it also tries to load a DLL called "uxtheme.dll", that isn't
present (obviously a gecko dll and not a windows one). Here is the
call:
LoadLibraryA("uxtheme.dll") called from "GKGFXWIN.DLL" at address
0x01322ACF.
LoadLibraryA("uxtheme.dll") returned NULL. Error: Ein der fr die
Ausfhrung dieser Anwendung notwendige Bibliothekdateien kann nicht
gefunden werden (1157).

I can't run it on Windows 2000, because I don't have K-Meleon
installed there.

Running on XP, I also get a message in Dependency Walker stating something wrong with mpr.exe (or something like that) although I've never seen this affecting my KM at all.

BTW, uxtheme.dll is an XP-specific file controlling Windows' theme/'skin'.

run with dependeny walker (here9 did not give more infp than we had.
(some funktion missing, i did not get any further than that, as soon as i have the
old mfc42 on drive my laptop will not use k-m (win xp home there) wrong numerical output to the number we have already is the German message.
