who has similar problems?
if I load a javapage K-Meleon hangs.

Under Windows ME K-Meleon crashes.

With the official realease 0.8.2 there is no problem.

- that is the main disadvantage of Jordans built (& that it is a little slower).

it is very usefull if You do not use java applets. but i "sometimes" do.

that is the chief reason why i try to transfer as much as i can from his built and Your theme to Ulfs test built.

YES! Mui itou! (Me too!) I've had a terrible time with java on his builds and I haven't the foggiest clue as to WHY. I remember in the forums Sebastian that a lot of people used to write about this as well in the past and then I guess they just gave up about mentioning it as for some reason it couldn't be fixed. This is why I stopped using them as I do visit a lot of pages that require java (my science pages) and they are very out of place---don't load properly---and things like that, or the buttons on their science pages didn't work, etc.

Habe jordans 1.7 dabei auf applet ausprobiert / siehe da?!
was für hilfreiche magie hast du in den 1.7b einfließen lassen?

unter win xp funktioniert es bei mir einwandfrei.
unter win me werde ich es heute abend noch mal testen.

hab ein bisschen rumprobiert.
wahrscheinlich liegts daran, dass ich die originalen macros.dll und layers.dll ins kplugin-verzeichnis kopiert habe.

also ich vermute, dass es mit deinen script & menü änderungen zu tun hat.

meine homepage besteht aus animierenden applets.
da läuft bis auf ein applet*() alles // auch unter Win/ME.
ich glaube - dass brauchst du nicht testen. lach.

mit anderen kplugins hatte ich seinerzeit schon rum probiert.
das half nix // ? oder es gibt jetzt gänzlich andere kplugins?
(na ja manchmal hat man auch ne blöde instalation)

Unterschiedliche Java maschinen kommen auch eher nicht in frage.

es war nicht nur so das java bei Sages ursprünglich bei mir nicht ging
- es hat den browser gekrascht, sobald man auf eine seite mit applet kam.
bischen ärgerlich für jemanden der ne homepage mit applets hat ; )

Vorher konnte ich teilweise die laufenden Applets sehen und k-m hatte einen fehler
und k-m mußte beendet werden. Oder der browser wurde bei neuen unbekannten seiten langsamer und ich wußte: ah ein großes applet -
& da half dann teilweise nur neustart des pc.

als alternative: dies ist ein intel-p500 / monkeesages original instalationen waren mit athlon1000 getestet? aber das glaub ich eher nicht.

mit meine basteleien an den browser übersetzungen, bin ich nit so weit wie ich sein wollte. dies WE ist schützenausmarsch, da werd ich nit viel tun, außer...

it is only usuable under win xp or similary operating systems

here it does not crash on windows ME - i re-tested on my applets page.
. But i wonder why? Because Jordans brews always crashed on applets.
This is my reserve machine an old p500 some of the software is old too e. g. the java engine it is a 1.3.1_2. the windows ME is altered with win98lite.
But that is also the case on my Athlon where Jordan builts crash.
I will check as soon as I can get Jordans original brew from the other pc.
Maybe its the Java? best weekend
