Hi!

Any reommendations for a (free?) Windows GUI editor/IDE that makes use of Microsofts free Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 (command line compiler)?

Can't seem to find any. ;-/

Thanks for your help!

Yeah, that would be nice!

But, other question to you ra, did you manage to make a build with the Toolkit??
I didn't, so any recommendations would be nice ;-)))
May be something for a new topic: I will open that ;-))

There's Dev-CPP which works ok for me.
I'm not sure if you can use it with MS's toolkit though, but it's worth a shot. (It uses GCC)

well, I haven't tried it - yet.

And as I don't do C(++) usually I'm still looking for an editor/IDE that will help me out on that subject without having to deal with too much time-consuming command line compiling stuff.

does ist work to successfully build K-Meleon or are you speaking in general terms, only? winking smiley If it does: Is there a how-to or anything like that available somewhere?

Dev-Cpp is a great IDE with a very nice and friendly community around it, but it doesn't support the VC++ Toolkit.

I must admit that reading such a @!#$: Dev-Cpp is made in Delphy is an insult for all C/C++ Programmers. makes me a bit angry.

@ra
You might also have a look at this one:

would at least be the IDE of my choice if I could use VC++ Toolkit 2003 on my w98 machine.
