slimming k-meleon

I'm trying to get the smallest (fastest?) possible k-meleon configuration and I wonder if anyone could tell me what the different dll's in the installation directory do.

According to some posts that I have read here in the forum there are quite a few that they say is unused. Is it really so?

best regards

Some of them are unnecessary. It depends on what functionality you want and need. For example, in components, you could dump the typeaheadfind files if you didn't want that functionality. However, my experience is that kind of slimming has less impact than disabling unneeded plugins. The fewer plugins you are using, the faster the browser runs.

Ok, thank's for your input. But is there a site or document or anything that explains what the different dll's are used for?

I mean for example which dll /dll's is the gecko engine composed of?

You will find that what is gecko e. g. via embed project
(basically all except k-meleon.exe and the things in kplugins and plugins)
(default plugin is native)

kplugins are found via wiki and unofficial substitutes (that how i found out)
plugins are thired party.

good bet right click and have a look - some thing give info
