Flash-killer in 0.9

The flash-killer in the new 0.9 is a great function when you do not want flash and shockwave shown on the pages you visit.
The problem; it is only a killer, so at first flash/ shockwave is showing up, then you push the button and flash/ shockwave is gone. Next page you visit with flash/shockwave you have to do the same.
Could this be made as a toggle-button flash/shockwave on/off??

the same for Applets...

For Flash, since it's controlled by an external plugin, I don't think it can be easily toggled. The only way I know to disable Flash objects is by using userContent.css (set display:none on embedded Flash objects), but it can't be set with macros.

... Unless there's a Moz pref that disables plugins (but I've never heard of anything like that).

applets security.enable_java W-B toggle button is permanent.
sorry jan can not write well enough these days - broke colar bone -

i made history toggl for w-b but have toggled myself from my fietse in a way that i can not write coherent (i never can - lol - but it is worse lately) i can not write anything to put on homepage either which i promised our oldtimer ; o )

and i wonder how checkable button for w-b menus can be made?

the flash thing toggles the obect and embed tag i presume.
that can be integratrd into a peronal css >>>>
that would be a solution for making it permanent.

there is also a macro that can be possibly adapted to // wiki by jordan i think
ex-change theese css so to get that toggle?

sorry do not have other idea.
an totally useless for anyhing because it is the right arm.

we can band plugins together in an external folder e. g. that of a netscape 4.x
and make a toggle for the plugin search -imho that is easiest?
user_pref("plugin.scan.4xPluginFolder", true);

Hi Guenter,

how did the broken colar bone happen? Just fallen off your bike or a trafic-accident?
I hope it will be healed soon, because the right arm is something most people really need.

About the plugin-directory, I think that does not work for all plugins because more and more programs are found automatically by the register.
But the idea is good and for flash and shockwave I think it could be a solution, although it is may be not the right way around....

going with my dog along the canal - i live near the canal that conects berlin area with
your area - no accident - yes naturally the right side/arm.

plugin directory - yes difficult to make it user proof for the reason you mentioned.
experienced users would be able to relocate - but the rest?

so - on the long run probably better something with rmn useContent.css trick
and try getting/making them exchangeabble.>> maybe toggle around serveral
different css. only toggling the search is probabbly easier to code?
a toggle around a true false netscape 4 diretory!

Proxomitron with JD5000Â’s most excellent filter set can toggle flash.
Go to http://www.jd5000.net/proxo/Help/Filters.htm and see what you are missing.;-(
Flash toggle is under “applets & objects”.
Parlez-vous Français ?
http://nicolas220.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17 has a JD5000/Proxomitron tutorial.

Also, you might be able to steal from nontroppo, http://nontroppo.org/wiki/Opera7Tips
I wonÂ’t tell.;-)

Fast Sjonny aka Jan,

Wechselbalg Devs,
Wechselbalg crashed quickly on my Win98 machines until I unpacked the exe.
Since then it has crash occasionally when starting Java.
I rarely use Java.
Thank you all for my Browser.

Guenter,
I type the same with fingers or toes.
But, if I use my toes, the binoculars do make me look silly.;-)
Get well soon.:-)

helpless - p. s. i use java all the time - my home page is applets - java - any k-m and old netcape 4x are the best - but none runs applets without occasional fault - geetings from hannover

Guenter,

Hope your collarbone heals quickly. Make sure you have a good doc. I had a bad one with a big toe and it still "barks" at me from time to time.
