A new beta for K-Meleon 0.9 is now available for testing. This beta is built on Mozilla 1.7.4. We are still waiting for Mozilla to release 1.7.5 before we will build any 0.9 release candidates.

As always, please give this beta a thorough testing. For this release, our focus will be testing the items listed below as fixed and any new functionality that has been added to the browser. We will likely be "freezing the code" in anticipation of releasing 0.9 so don't expect to see any major new functionality added before that release. Please report any bugs that you discover back to this thread.

- All pugins are always installed
- Possible to choose what bookmarking plugins to enable

I got moz1.7.5 on Dec.17.

I've been using it quite a lot under a variety of circumstances (heavy surfing, videos played in Quicktime and WMP) and it's performed perfectly. With similar use both Opera 7.54 and Firefox 1.0 have crashed. If that's any indication of being ready, I think K-Meleon 9.0 is. I've set it as my default browser it's so good. The improvements to the "Tools" menu were the clinchers. Very useful!

Any source code available for this beta?

You can get it from CVS (Ulf finally updated it again! :-) ) if you don't mind to get RC1 intead of beta 4.

Uhm, there were no CVS updates between Mar. 22 and Dec. 31, but there were many code changes, fixes and updates together with many testbuilds and beta 1, 2, 3 and 4 in between ... All you'll get is 0.8+ vs. 0.9-rc1, but no beta 4 code. :-)
