Future Support for XPIs?

-Hello,

I am a recent convert from Firefox to KM, and was seeing about trying to install the "Adblock" extension/pluging from mozdev.org and getting it to work with KM (which, it appears it doesn't...) Forgive me since I am not a programmer - but will future versions of KM come with support for XPIs?

And is there any way I can get the adblock extention for FF/Mozilla to work with K-Meleon? Or is there anything similiar for KM?

Many thanks,
A.W.

Probably not, because it would involve bulking KM with more XUL which ultimately slows it down, but you never know.

Not for individual sites. The only alternative for now would be to use a general approach such as an altered Windows hosts file or an external app or CSS. View the Block Ads section on the following page.

Why not use proxomitron or proximodo (http://proximodo.sourceforge.net/) to do your ad blocking? proximodo is an open source version of proxomitron .
