How do you change out the default throbber on a build? I noticed that some are not bmp format but avi, and I tried to download and switch the throbbers in the pinball theme but it would show up it was just blank, until I put the original one back which did appear again. Nothing serious but the one that comes with "Fred's build to me is a satanic symbol, I may be wrong about this it may be that the 5 point star is supposed to be upsidedown but If my memory serves me right I believe the satanic symbol is as it is shown by default in the toolbar.

just copy the new avi with name: throbber.avi into skin where You want it to work.
(if needed rename it! to proper name)
& k-m reacts to the name. - there can be only one!
(some avis work better than others - means if You make them Yourself - You sometimes produce ones that do not work well)

- he certainly did not have that in mind.
- AFAIK the one You describe is from another theme.
I even have seen the gif in i-net.
- but i understand that You do not like the throbber ; o ) there are better throbbers!

I got the pinball throbber from a throbber package at the k-meleon
site and certainly did not want to express an evil symbol. As you said, this
one has an upside down sign. The one here has been used by many
religious cultures, among them christian ones. It is a similar case as the
upside down christian cross.
If you want to change the throbber, rename the old one in the skin
folder and replace it by another one of 24x24 pixels, for example by the
spinning globe in "Early Blue". The name has always to be "throbber.avi".
If the background is not correct, you should rename k-meleon.exe.manifest
in the main k-meleon folder.

The throbber I shall always love, cherish and adore is "Mr. K-Meleon" which Guenter made for me and appeared in Wechselbalg in my honour. It's the one of the Gecko Lizard raising his hat while the page is loading. I always get a laugh out of that when seeing it on my page (things load too fast in the browser to see it in action. hehe!).
