A way to convert IE plugins to Kmeleon?

I know the Mozilla ActiveX control has been posted on here many times, but I found something interesting at the very bottom. If your go to the bottom of the page Here, you can see the IE patcher. I think there could be some clever uses for this, especially if we can convert the patch to point to K Meleon. Any thoughts?

Really intersting pages can not be posted often enough (IMHO)
- the roots of k-m in a way!

Patching: works but not with all exes You try (but is always worth a try!).
(i was lucky with the ones i tried - but was told here that this is not always so)

something very interesting is the base browser You can make from their

http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/MozillaControl177.exe

(nice small chrome ... and minimum xpt and dll
// not all works but a nice, swift and snappy basic
k-m browser is the result when you use k-m components with this as GRE:

its somewhat hidden docu also explains how active x components are activated selectively with k-m.(that is were i first found it) greetings

p. s. btw with a special k-m 0.8.2.exe and their version 1.7.1 i found/learned
that k-m does sometimes work with several similar GRE like the 1.7.x series.
