Has anyone figured out how to make a KM Search Macro out of the Google Earth satellite search engine?

The search prefix is basically

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=

I don't believe that is the same as the Google satellite map, which is what I was looking for here and missing. I'll have to look closer at this one.

If you want the satellite view, use

http://maps.google.com/maps?t=k&q=

For hybrid view:

http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&q=

This could be implemented as a web search for future K-Meleon versions.

May the hybrid mode be the most suitable? Shows all the info at a glance and it's perfect for a brief quick look, and if you just want to enjoy the views longer you can always change it to satellite.

Yes, you're right. Hybrid is the easiest one to use and it is the one I went with.
