The error to be fixed is pointing to error to read XML (entity not defined), about chrome://kmprefs/content/pref-privacy.xul, number line 170, column 10. Probably the awesome work done by Niceeight was hard because he wanted to translate all the IT locale language. Indeed if I were able to find that line 170 and column 10 I could try to fix by myself and help this project.

Well I found pref-privacy.xul and surprisingly all it's rightly translated to spanish but not ordered like the other locales (e.g., france locale). After ordered, it still does not work, so do you see something wrong at next lines?:

Same problem found for pref-privacy.xul observed with German DE locale, France FR locale and Chinese CN locale, KM-Goanna latest testing-build. Security and privacy main section (general & paranoia) is not shown after set locale language to all the mentioned before. Same warning like after set spanish ES locale is shown about something related to line 170, column 10 -- so probably this is beyond translation issue I guess again. :s

Oh, my bad, I'm sorry! After added italian IT locale language following the instructions by Niceeight, same error about line 170, colum 10 observed. All the other options seem to be right. I forgot that IT language needs to be added manually, it should be included for future releases, shouldn't it? :s

Have no clue about translations, so just unzipped omni.ja into a new folder and did a file search - bingo, file found
Line 170 is something with "cookies.accept.visited" - perhaps this is new and missing yet in translation package??

(PS: do you have a good editor with numbered lines and syntax highlighting already? Just asking because when *I* started had no clue such a thing even existed, costed a lot of wasted time)

When I switch B20171223 to german and restart, there is no error? And F2>Privacy with the cookie settings opens normal?

Oops - was still english. After it opened in german the error was there!
And it even showed the missing string "...visited..." directly, when scrolling a bit to the right

If XUL-file cannot find some ENTITY in .dtd or .properties file - it gives an error.

This should be added to spanish (and other langs where missing) dtd.

And so will be done with all missing entities. There are some new in Goanna.

I downloaded Notepad++ 7.5.3 just for this to have a better look to the the files but I sincerely have no idea about how to fix this issue or where the error is.

There's just a fundamental misunderstanding:
The prob is NOT in the XUL file itself!
The prob is caused because a new word or expression was added to the xul, but this is missing yet in a translation file (dtd). So instead of deleting something in the xul, there must be ADDED a line in the dtd...

The translation exists, but KM-Goanna can't read it for some reason.
In fact, all locale translations exist for that file pref-privacy.xul, for all the mentioned locales, chinese, french, german, spanish and italian languages.
So I have start to think that warning line 170 and column 10 is wrong itself, because I can't see any relation between that cookies line and all missing locales for that section of preferences. Anyway, my help is very low level so I'm sorry. :s

Oh LOL, that sounds like an increased amount of work to fix it. ._.

The question is why Russian, Chinese and English don't show the warning.
As I said, all locale translations exist for the pref-privacy.xul file.

Goanna incorporated some stuff added to KM 76 from Pro-build (or just discussed in time of 75-76-development).

Some locales were updated by Dorian himself, me and Chanson Yu, but other weren't updated in full.

That's all.

English no error, because the dev has already added it
Russian not, because rodocop has already added it
Chinese not because Chanson Yu (IIRC) has already added it

Not really much work to fix, if you know where and what:
OPEN K-Meleon/locales/es-ES.jar with 7-zip (not unzip, just open)
inside click on kmpres/pref-privacy.dtd to open it

add this line:

Sorry I was not present and using the last version in English.
Mail me in such cases. Are You finished with German locale?

German pref-privacy.dtd dates from 2014 when I last had to update.
And it has one line less than the English one.
When I look at dtd I first look at time stamp then at number of lines.

I use PSPad.

Do not forget that we must save in UTF8 for all languages.
