Thanks for your kind words of support. IMHO I think this es-ES locale package is good enough to be merged for future KMeleon Goanna releases. I have sent it already to my friends to update their es-ES locales. Of course all feedback will be always welcome to improve and get better.

Yes - absolutely good enough right after the start. You are polishing coal by now.

p.s. we are all fishing for the last forgotten strings and typos.
While all essentials work already.

You are welcome - and I am sorry that I cannot help with the missing about.preferences#applications

I test kml locales by setting K-Meleon to Russian first.
Then I set K-Meleon the language to check.
Then the kml will draw from the last complete locale used.
And to me Cyrillic items are striking to the eye even more than English ones.
Guess that is one reason why the two locales done in other letters - Chinese and Russian - are always so much more complete. Their maintainers immediately see things still English. While I must look through the text. And I might overlook something because I am fluently speaking and reading English and German.

I hope I will find no more Russian or English in the other locales.
Especially not in my German one.

p.s. Dorian designed kml much more error tolerant than for example XUL is.

I don't know how to solve this error by myself, and IMHO this is a minor issue very difficult to resolve indeed, probably not possible to solve. However I have fixed already the readme.htlm syntax mistake after compare the DE german locale one by @guenter. Uploading pending as you recommended. :s

from "UTF8" to "UTF8 without BOM"
????

Found it only by endless copying over files and folders from german version, each time zipping again and restarting. Until finally the culprit folder, and then culprit file was found. But the content was perfectly okay. Only difference this encoding.

Ah yes, and better take the newer files from FF38.05, not 38.0

PS: any chance the two versions for KM76 + KM-Goanna can be combined into one? Like italian?

combining them into one should be possible since extra entities don't cause problems, only missing entity will cause problems.

Make sure you're using the latest locale version from posting-1, not the ones from the Goanna-downloads.... ah yes, and in case of any troubles after browser changes the profile/startupCache should be deleted and restarted...
(I've disabled mine completely now, caused too much trouble all the time, although the price is a longer startup time. For disabling, create a write-protected FILE named "startupCache")

Try with the last German locale - it works ok for most recent K-Meleons.

Hmm.... have now tried to figure out the differences between those 2 lang-packs... but cannot find any yet, only that KM76 has the version written in the readme.html. And kmeleon.kml has a few more strings in KM77, but those can just as well be used in KM76, no separate file necessary.
But you're maintaining 2 separate packages, so perhaps I've overlooked something? What's the difference between them, that requires 2 separate packages?

Yes, I remember now I first fixed the package for KMeleon 76RC2.
Then, the only difference is the readme.html file.

This does not work for me, so obviously if it works for other people it means that BOM still persists at file. How I can eliminate BOM with Notepad++ to be sure of it? Any easy way to eliminate the BOM?
