I want to translate k-meleon to portuguese-brazil, how i can do that? how i can help?

Which version, 1.1.x or 1.5.x ?

I haven't the english version, but if you talk one of these languages, download the corresponding zipfile here (just the locale), and translate the files in portuguese.

kml files with a text editor (ANSI)
dll files with Reshacker
html with an text or html editor (UTF-8)
for the pt-PT.jar or pt-BR.jar, take as example en-US.jar. Copy it as pt-BR (or PT),
Download the corresponding version os Seamonkey (gecko 1.8.1.12), and replace the corresponding files by the portuguese ones. I always do it like that, but I think that guenter or kko have a script to do it automaticly.

After translate them, like what I do with the file

There is some difference between 1.1.x and 1.1.4

For kmeleon.kml, some strings have to be add, some to be added, it's not too much difficult
For kmeleon.dll, it's more difficult, and you must not have some difficult with resHacker. You have to delete some dialogs or strings or to add some strings, it's not too much difficult, but you have also to add some dialogs, and it's harder, but you can try. To do it, you must extract the dialogs from k-meleon.exe and insert it in kmeleon.dll (it's not easy).
For the translation dll of kplugins, there is nothing, or a little work to do.

For kmprefs.jar, there is a problem, because in this version, locales aren't located at the same place. And there is also some strings more to add and translate in properties ans dtd files. Some to be deleted, but it's not a problem.
Before having add all the strings, you will have crash of kmprefs.

The files must be put in the same folder than you found it in the zip file (locales, chrome).

The macros are no more needed, but as it crashes with kmprefs, you must keep it to change the language (lang.kmm + lang_pt-BR.kmm). When kmprefs will be correctly update and translated, the two macros have to be deleted.

These files haven't yet been done, and the purpose is to do manually it. It's what I have said.

You can start with the 1.1.4 version and modify it as I say.

More, jar file is the same for 1.1.4 and 1.5a2, as they use the same gecko version.

I have done like I explain, and I use since a few weeks a fr-FR version
