Dear folks! My friends!

I'm happy to present you my new custom assembly - K-Meleon 75 Pro.

It continues the old branch of 'Pro'-builds started by my russian comrades about 10 years ago.

New build combines all the best developments made by Russian comrades in past as well as a number of things created by best among us!

This is not a new Twin but this build respects all the same principles that were important for Twin.

Some Twin stuff was dropped away (temporarily or permanently) but I hope the new build is anyway better!

Please download new K-Meleon 75 Pro - and enjoy it!

There are no full description for this moment (it was important for me to release the browser before Leo will run away in the Zodiac cycle ). I will provide it next days.

But I think it would be very funny to all of you to digg into this new build and explore it :cool:

Yo've done it, man !!! I don't know how, but you've done it !

Best browser config so far. The only thing is Adblock, when i change the preferences list to EasyList +RoList, when opening KM, the CPU goes to 50% and stays about 3 secs, and RAM goes to 130-150 Mb. So i changed Adblock with Bluhell Firewall and now it's all good.

Love "Open in browser" , "Advanced management" , speed and functionality !

So, to be helpful, can't you test please blocking abilities of Bluhell against my basic filter set of AdBlock provided 'out of the box'?

I think, this base should block not worse than Bluhell (so it isn't supposed to add more subscriptions to ABP in Pro build), but any detailed feedback would be welcomed!

Bluhell firewall blocks without filter subscriptions. It's like new CLOUD antivirus technology that does not relay on signtures database but more on scaning on cloud, wich is faster.

Your initial setting did not stop ads on my country (RO). So i'd had to disable Adblock. Plus it does what i've said, memory consumption.

Bluhell Firewall is not perfect, but it is lighter. The only thing that bothers me is that it opens pop-up ads (but says "Site stoped...) and you have to clos them.

Thanks rodocop! Great effort. I like the privacy bar out of the box.
One question: How to get a proxy toggle button in the privacy bar
(just like the ones with cookies, js, popups etc)?
I believe it is a matter of editing skin.cfg and perhaps a macro.
Any help appreciated.

1. I wwant to get rid of the cercle that apears next to mouse pointer when a page is loading.
2. I want to edit the right click (contextual menu) on selected text. I don't need "BB code" "Send by mail" and "Download with QGET". Also i want to edit right click on link.

1. in about:config find ui.use_activity_cursor and set it to false
or
2. comment the corresponding line in browser\defaults\preferences\kmeleon.js with two slashes so it would be

that were all basic edits so you can use them as samples for other customizations. Learn KM - and it would be even more frendlier!

(4 years ago all this config stuff was a pure horror for me )

Pro Tip of the Day:

KM Pro has partly updated accel config. Check new accelerators under Configuration menu.
Ex.: Alt+F10 opens about:config
Shift+Alt+D - Downloads manager
Shift+Alt+M - Memory manager
Shift+Alt+A - Addons manager

I found a bug. When i copy/paste some text in facebook comments and press Enter to post it, it can't be done. I can't even delete the text. Even pste it in notepad then on commnents it doesn't work. Typing it on keyboard it works.

And another bug (not that important to me): can't see images in yahoo mail (body of email).

Facebook bug was chasing me as KM engine was going outdated.

It appeares unpredictably in similar assemblies - it can be present or can be not.

I've tested fresh install of Pro - and all works fine it can post text messages but refuses to post links in comments here. I cannot identify real cause of this glitch. Just try fresh install or new profile. I'm lost with FB compatibility.

Speaking about yahoo mail - I haven't an account so cannot help much with it. Give me some time and I'll create one.

UPD.: I think some of my custom prefs could lead to such a misbehaviour.
I should take some time to find the root of problem.
KM Pro with kmeleon.js (browser\defaults\preferences) from KM 75.1 works fine...

it seems I find the root of the FB problem.

Try this:

open file browser\defaults\preferences\kmeleon.js and comment line 302 - it should look like this:

//pref("dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled", false);

It should help.

Yes, it did. I changed the pref to True and now seems to work. Tks !

Two more bugs:

1. When trying to scan a file with Virustotal (https://www.virustotal.com ), load the file, click Scan, then nothing happens.

2. When opening an youtube video it take some time for recommended videos in the right list to show up (the previews).

Now virustotal works.

2. It didn't cross my mind that this was the cause. Not such a big problem. Nevertheless, the official 75 build does not have this behavior (same BlueHell adblock installed)

SearchbarExt text is still in Russian ...

Thanx for this version, btw. I have downloaded Km 75 a while ago and experienced here and there that during Km usage (or copying the html files downloaded with KM) computer freezes and USB must be reformatted (it drives me nuts that I have to have 3 USB with backups). Today comp couldn't access the USB at all and when it did, some weird symbols were inside Km 75. All other files, including Km 75 pro, were fine.

Maybe Km 75 got corrupted, maybe not (another USB with Km 75 was really slow at loading pages). But anyway, I am switching to your version from now on ...

Hmmm...
1. For me commenting was enough but delete it also is a solution, yes.
2. Yes, official 75 doesnt't have some Pro prefs set which lead to noads-behaviour on Youtube (I really can't say now what one exactly :O)

That version is 0.3.0, while yours is at 0.4.0.

other locales need to be updated in order to reflect new features or Pro build.

Some dtd- and properties-files contain new strings to be translated.

Updated Pro-build in 2 ways:

1) Just add my fixes and additions (added 2 skins, 2 macros, some changes in prefs to fix issues discovered) to previous Pro.
K-Meleon 75 Pro codename 'Virgo'
Contains portable flash plugin (ESR 13 repacked by JohnHell).

2) Pro-package was added to newest official KM 75.1RCu1.
New features by Dorian - and renewed setup from myself.
No flash plugin in the box.

- if you open Edit - Preferences, you are kicked to the Browsing and not to the start (GUI Appearance)

This is feature not bug. That skins are supposed to be used with touchscreens or with Smart TVs. Camrod skin also has fontsize in URLbar multiplied to 1.5.

This is standard behaviour of this applet in all KMs. I know how to target it to GUI Appearance, but all sections will be collapsed in that case.

May be this could be changed in kmprefs-chrome - we should ask Desga as author of the applet.
