removing toolbars in K-Meleon Twin-1.6

Hi All,

Have found K-meleon in the last two weeks and think that it is great. Its speed and lightness suits me perfectly for the type of browsing I do. Running it on Windows 7 and XP 64bit without any major problems.
What i would like to know is how to remove the "Select Fox icon ......Select Ying-Yang Icon" toolbar completely. Have been looking through all the config files and cant really find it !
Clicking on an icon flashes up command window, but with no changes or effects. What is it for ?

Regards
Terry

I do not use this specific K-Meleon version.

But removing/deactivating whole Toolbars can normaly be done under menue item

View / Toolbars.

If You want to edit single icons or bars permanently go to the

K-Meleon install directory & open with an editor in active skin
folder the file toolbars.cfg

At the bottom of the file You likely find these instructions below.

Means that # comments a line out and You do that to the items that You do not want anymore.

Best Greetings to .ie

# EXAMPLE-----------------------------------------------------------------

# Tool Bar(16,16){ = NAME OF TOOLBAR (WIDTH, HEIGHT) *default = (16,16)

# Print(16,16) { = NAME OF BUTTON (WIDTH, HEIGHT) *none = Tool Bar specs
# ID_FILE_PRINT|Print = ID COMMAND, PLUGIN COMMAND, OR MACRO | MENU NAME (as defined in menus.cfg)
# Print this page = TOOL TIP
# toolhot.bmp[0] = HOT IMAGE [INDEX WITHIN IMAGE FILE]
# toolcold.bmp[0] = COLD IMAGE [INDEX WITHIN IMAGE FILE]
# tooldead.bmp[0] = DISABLED IMAGE [INDEX WITHIN IMAGE FILE] *optional
# } = END OF BUTTON

# - = SEPARATOR

# } = END OF TOOL BAR

# NO TOOL BAR IMAGES = TEXT BASED TOOL BAR WITH BUTTON NAMES FOR IMAGES

# *Any changes will take effect after K-Meleon is restarted*
# ------------------------------------------------------------------------

terry_l,

that's about my KM Twin ;-) So, the answer is:

1) Go to macros folder and delete (if not planning to use) selecticon.kmm or simply change its extension to something like .bak or .xxx

2) enjoy it! grinning smiley
