I have uploaded an updated unofficial variation K-Meleon-S205 .

Download at :

http://user.xthost.info/eichhein9/K-Meleon-S205.zip

This is an experimental version, based on Gecko 1.9.1.11pre/20100609, from Seamonkey 2.0.6 pre.
I had to use Gecko from Seamonkey Tinderbox. This KM variation is based on KM-1.5.

My intention is to present an 1.9.1 variation that works in Windows, but also in Linux with wine, where the conditions to work are more difficult for K-Meleon than in Windows.

--Note : This version works only, if you have the files msvcp71.dll, msvcr71.dll and mfc71u.dll in your system or in your K-Meleon main folder. If you need these dll's, look for them in the Internet. If necessary in Linux, put them into the K-Meleon main folder. The profile will be created inside the K-Meleon folder. If in Linux you want it inside the ".wine" folder, because of user rights problems, rename the file profile.ini to profile.ini-renamed before the first start.
If you have starting problems, try to delete compreg.dat and xpti.dat in the folder components.
I have added these files, because in Vista earlier variations refused to build these files at the first start.

--Opera has been set as user agent, to avoid errors in complex webpages with insufficient browser recognition. In Linux the URL bar is only usable with more recent wine versions. If you are using a very old wine version, use the URL button to open an URL prompt. A 1.x version of wine for Linux is preferable, to minimize possible crashes.
Wine versions higher then 1.1.29 can have problems in older Linux distros with an older libc6 library.

--A javascript button has been included. After changing permissions for javascript, reload the page.

--Many additional Search Engines in the menu bar, opening in a new window.

--A general startpage is already in the bookmarks.

--Keyboard shortcuts:

* Page back : (right)ctrl + left arrow
* Page forward : (right)ctrl + right arrow
* Close Window : (right)ctrl + down arrow
* Go to home : (right)ctrl + up arrow

"-new" commandline switch in K-Meleon-S205 changed?

"-new" is handled as an URL,
if there is no other KM instance in memory.

"k-meleon.exe -new" still works fine,
if another KM instance is running.

Older versions ignored "-new" on first load.
Older versions had fewer lines in Error Console.

Maybe i missed an option somewhere.
Thanks for your funny browser variations.

The behaviour that you describe, seems to be the case
rather for my variation KM-F , which is based on Firefox,
while with my variation KM-S, which is based on Seamonkey,
does not have it.
When called up in command-line with k-meleon -new, it may
also happen ( may be only in Linux, not in Windows), that
creating a second profile will be demanded (in the opened
profiles manager), if the existing Flash profile in the first
browser instance could not load a secondary dll for some reason,
which would not complete the browser opening process of
the first browser instance, before the second browser
instance is called up by the user.
Don't forget, that my variations are all experimental.
I cannot solve existing incompatibilities myself.
After updating KM-F to the latest Gecko of Firefox 3.5.11,
which is still supported at the moment, I have not yet
updated KM-S to the Gecko of Seamonkey 2.0.6 , because
it is possible, that a Seamonkey 2.0.7 could follow soon,
as a single bug, that was the reason for a second release
of Firefox within only a few days, seems still to be existing in
Seamonkey 2.0.6. So I still wait a while before updating
KM-S, in order not to have to do the work again.
