SSL over port 7227 (Tomcat) gives empty pop-up win

Hello,

Great idea, this K-Melon. I'm testing our company's web-configuration software which uses SSL, but runs over port 7227 (we reserve standard SSL port for customer use).

The problem found is unique to KMelon (does not happen in Mozilla 0.94, Mozilla 0.95, or MSIE) and SSL over nonstandard ports.

What happens is, when I point KMelon to our Tomcat-Apache server, I get blank pages. I am not going through a proxy. Kmelon can navigate other SSL-enabled pages, like the lokigames.com store. And standard Mozilla can browse our SSL web interface just fine.

Can anyone point me to a website running SSL over nonstandard ports so I can prove or disprove my theory? Has anyone had problems like this, or any idea how this could work in Mozilla but not in K-Melon?

Any comments appreciated! Thanks.

I have set my User Agent string to be both Default, and various versions of MSIE, so that shouldn't play a part in this..

Scott,

You will find discrepancies between K-Meleon and Mozilla because we don't use the embedded version which does have some bugs that aren't found in the full-blown Mozilla. I think we've had this problem reported. I'm not sure we had a solution at this point. I'll see if I can get some more information.
