Proxy problem returns in 0.7

Using the JunkBuster proxy with 0.7 is broken. Often when leaving one site and entering another, K-meleon will send the path & file part of the new URL to the previous URL's domain, resulting in either an incorrect page displayed or a 404.

Example from this morning: I visited Science Daily [,]http://www.sciencedaily.com/], then proceeded to Salon [.]http://www.salon.com/]. The request for / was sent to http://www.sciencedaily.com, not http://www.salon.com, and I got Science Daily's home page again.

This problem is common but not always reproducible. The only reliable way to recover is to completely close & restart K-meleon.

This was a known problem with K-meleon 0.6. The fix was to change the default HTTP version from 1.1 to 1.0. This doesn't work in 0.7, nor do these attempts to fix the problem:

1. Flush both caches
2. Set compare cache to network data to "Always"

I assume this is a problem with Mozilla, not K-meleon. I wasn't able to find a corresponding bug report on mozilla.org, but I'm not familiar with their bug reporting system.

I can't help at all as I'm new to k-meleon, but I like it and it works very well with proxomitron (I tried what you suggested and no problems - my proxy is good to go). Maybe give it a shot? http://www.proxomitron.org

Mozilla bug and Privoxy

There's a Mozilla bug that might be related: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135116

As suggested by the bug's discussion, I disabled the History plugin, to no avail.

Since the problem seems to be the JunkBuster proxy, I'm trying Privoxy, a JunkBuster successor. Early results look good. http://www.privoxy.org/
