hello everybody!
i don't think it's a bug (maybe a hacking virus)
but the connection parametres and others are missing in "tools" section!
i just have: "search the web" & "confidentiality"

Did this problem just recently start? Did you have all the "Tools" menu befor the problem started? I ask this because I have had a similar problem which was caused by some bad code in a macro. Did you recently install a new macro file (filetype = kmm)?

I am not sure whether I understand.
The complete French Outils/Tools menu. I inserted a screen copy into the Preferences near the bottom. It starts with Outils/Aide.
Compare. SVP.
Maybe Your install is broken - create a new Profile and look.
Some item that you search might in other preferences (see my copy)? Via F2.

Il est fort probable que c'est une macro buggée qui cache les entrées de menu.
Le meilleur moyen de savoir est de désactiver toutes les macros notées utilisateur par F2 => macros (user-defined).
Normalement, çà devrait être ok après relance de K-Meleon.
Ensuite, les valider une à une pour trouver la coupable (avec évidemment relance entre chaque validation).

I've just realized that I can't see those options either !
I tried disabling the macros but they still don't appear - no big deal as I have got along quite well without them up to now !
EDIT : Just realized that I was completely confused by that screen capture ! I was looking for those options in Preferences !!! :s

Man, I really was completely confused what you might mean with that, since I have lots of stuff in the tools menu, but neither "search the web" nor "confidentiality", and especially no "connection parameters"!
As others suggest it may well be a buggy macro (that's harmless, usually just a misplaced ) or ; or something), and there's also the possibility that you simply have disabled the macro plugin completely.
Click F2 > K-Meleon Plugins and check "Macro Extension".
Unless you have some physical problem with the dll, but much more likely disabled it just accidentally somehow.
And this setting as well as the those for single macros are stored in your profile, so no wonder you still have the same settings if you install a new KM-version (depending on HOW you installed that it re-uses your old profile).
If you had not re-installed, but just created a new profile, the macros would have been enabled again automatically.

Sorry - I made the screenshot and inserted in French - for PPL that are not French it is not obvious - You'd notice immediately if the screenshot was English.
What K-Meleon version are you using?
Are you tried to see the Macro error in Error Console?
Tools -> Error Console
If you can't see this item in Tools menu, you can create the next accelerator to open it:
K-Meleon in Spanish
