When I, for example, go to Wikipedia's home site, it asks me to install Japanese/Korean language things. Firefox doesn't ask - I don't know if I have them or not, but I do see foreign characters, so maybe I do have some primitive version...

either way, I don't want it asking to install Japanese language files since I don't think I'd be able to read Japanese even with the proper characters >_>

Any way to stop it asking every time I go to Wikipedia?

But have the problem very rarely, since I usually type a search string in the URL bar and then land directly on the matching page. That korean etc. thing seems to happen only on their home page.

Perhaps you use this long since too, but just in case, or maybe for other readers:

Just add a bookmark (or perhaps it's already there?), edit bookmarks, and add a Nick for it:

My nick is we for english wikipedia and wd for german, so for looking up e.g. Africa I type in the URL bar:
we africa (and hit enter)
and bang, am there already

I used to get that. A solution is to create a "font.askWhenNeeded" preference and set it to false, disabling all such font promptings...
