I have problem when printing web page with Kmeleon 1.60, using print preview. Kmeleon crashes with the error information:
AppName: k-meleon.exe AppVer: 1.6.0.0 ModName: npswf32_11_2_202_233.dll
ModVer: 11.2.202.233 Offset: 001c3a03
I use win XP. I hope somebody will help me to solve this problem.

I did not get a crash using print preview on Win 7. What I do not understand is how to recover from print preview. I finally had to close KM. This is why I don't use print preview. I will do some more checking to see what I can find out.

JamesD,
just select 'Print Preview' (or press Ctrl+Alt+P) once again!

Yes, Thank you. I had just found that in the command id list.

Bamboum's error message mentions 'npswf32_11_2_202_233.dll'. Is it possible to print flash? I will have to experiment some.

No, AFAIK, is not possible.

Anyway, Windows 2000, K-meleon 1.6b2.4, flash 10.3 no crashes.

I think, this is just the flash plugin problem, so he needs only to upgrade/downgrade flash plugin and try again.

Or use Flashblock before printing.

I've tested printing to 'Microsoft XPS Document Writer'.
The result inside xps file is usable but not perfectly formated.

I've used Flashplayer 11.2.202.235 debug version on XP SP3
and printed while watching a streamed Flash movie fullscreen.

@JohnHell
Did you compile any kplugins?

No, I lack knowledge for that task. Why?

@JohnHell
'Talking by myself, learning C ...'

Didn't know that anyone else is still
interested in that old language.

There is a little bit of C in kplugins,

extern 'C' {

KMELEON_PLUGIN kmeleonPlugin *GetKmeleonPlugin() {
return &kPlugin;
}

but you don't need 'knowledge' to recompile them,
if your compiler can read the code.

Why people keep saying C is old? (By C I also mean C++ and Visual C++) It's old by ages out there, but no more.

Windows is in [visual] C [++] and lots of programs. K-meleon, I guess is it too (I never had a look to its code to be fair with the truth)

You are right, for recompiling, no, but why recompile what is working? and if I had to I should know enough C first to make changes. Also, I need to be trained with the compilers.

But, as I said in your quote to my words, I left trying to learn it time ago. I'm old and no time/interest to keep trying smiling smiley

Update:
rodocop was right.

Tested printing in some different browsers.
Flash 11.2.202.235 almost always crashes printing flash.
Flash 10.3.183.15 and 10.x.x.x print without problems.
Didn't find a working 11.x.x.x version.

Either some XP support was removed, or
some Vista/Seven requirements were added, or
my graphics drivers are too old for new plugins.

Found a (new?) bug in K-Meleon 1.6/1.7.
Default printer is not selected on open 'File/Print'
and that did work in K-Meleon 1.54.

It was a new feature in Gecko 1.9.++.
Default printer is not used if
pref('print.print_printer', 'My Favorite Printer');
is set.

@JohnHell
C is not C++.
Mail me if you need help with your first C programs.
