Why people keep saying C is old? (By C I also mean C++ and Visual C++) It's old by ages out there, but no more.
Windows is in [visual] C [++] and lots of programs. K-meleon, I guess is it too (I never had a look to its code to be fair with the truth)

You are right, for recompiling, no, but why recompile what is working? and if I had to I should know enough C first to make changes. Also, I need to be trained with the compilers.
But, as I said in your quote to my words, I left trying to learn it time ago. I'm old and no time/interest to keep trying
