Hi every one,


I have two k-meleon 76 and goanna and neither of them can get in to the bank site:

the login and password DON'T APPEAR, they must be in the blue elipse I drew:

Does someone have an idea to solve this problem? Beforehand thanks every one by your coments.

Si alguno acierta con la razón, ya te la dirá, pero es curioso porque en mi perfil de K-meleon 75.0 funciona a la perfección, pero sólo si se habilita la consola. Es uno de esos sitios que usa scripts que no sé por qué dependen de la consola para poder funcionar.

En cambio, si uso un perfil nuevo no funciona..., así que es alguna configuración adicional.

P.S.: la consola se abre con F12, creo; o menú herramientas, consola. Una vez hecho ya se queda habilitada.

With a fresh profile in K-meleon 75.0, doesn't work, but with my own profile, it does, so is some sort of setting.

Also, this site is one of those that require the browser console to be enabled as the scripts rely on it and in K-meleon is disabled by default. How I hate those scripts/sites...


If someone has a guess of what settings is the culprit, help.

Huh?? Which browser console? The normal error console...? In another tab as the page - how can that have any effect? Can you explain this a bit more? Never heard, completely confused now...

(As for the missing setting, my first random guess for geckos would be that messageChannel pref as for recaptchas, but in Goanna it's long since enabled by default)

Yes, the error console must be enabled. By default, the console is disabled (after all is a developer tool). Once you open the first time, it is enabled forever. (I have it disabled as, as I told some time ago, if you open loading all types of errors, especially CSS, it takes ages to load the errors)

And it must be enabled because some scripts (javascript) log to the console and uses it in some way.

I don't know the exact workings of these features, but it isn't the first time I found it that if you don't enable it, the page doesn't load (obviously those relying on JavaScript to build it), and the only explanations I found out there is the console log feature. That is fine for local usage, but not for real world. The worst is that you only find out when you open the console, reload the page to find where is the error and you say... "WTF, now is loading!". Trial-error proves it.

But the fact is that it happens, as with this page.

I haven't found what other settings might be causing to load in my profile and not a new one I'll have to try again, later, at some time...

Come on, can't believe it!

It works!

For whatever reason the workaround was to enable the console XD and it is because of this preference that is related to JavaScript warnings

I think I'll have to check other sites too just to be sure...

Not the solution for Aliexpress though...

Thanks to every one who wrote, now I can get in to my bank. I just change javascript.options.strict to true and it solved. Excellent!!
