If to go to login screen with "change user" command in the start menu, and then re-login to the session, the fonts in the search bar, search on the page field and in many input forms on the pages become "System" font instead of the default font.

This also happens if to change the system color scheme.

Sorry don't know anything about such stuff. But if it's really important to you, but doesn't matter much for others, you'll probably have to help yourself, as I too all the time. That makes chances for a solution or workaround 100x bigger, compared to sitting and waiting for an official fix.

Usual method: google for the same prob in Firefox (or now PaleMoon too), that shows a lot more answers. And the solutions often work in KM too.

In this case, styling in input fields etc., chances are probably quite good to find a solution by adding something to (currentprofile)/chrome/userContent.css, userChrome.css, or perhaps changing some pref in about:config

Tested K-Meleon 1.6 using old ATI video drivers were find bar edit control changes to system font on theme change. Didn't test Intel and Nvidia yet. This needs changes in program and searchbarplus plugin.

Same with Intel graphics. Patched it in a fork. Didn't find any other input fields with this problem in K-Meleon. Post a link to one of the public Windows 8.1 themes if it causes more trouble.

This affects multiple input fields: the search on the page, search in the web, and custom text fields on websites. It does not depend on theme.

Your screen shot shows the toolbar problems, but what website changes font of custom text fields in the browser view on theme change or when switching user.

For instance, on the site linux.org.ru the font in dropbox changes:

There were a lot of other cases, I will watch.

Great, but no change on theme change. It just ignores document and user settings and always uses message font. Preference setting is browser.formfill.enable.
