This might be a BCG (or whatever that library is called) issue, but as the menus fold or fade in they appear as the wrong color. After they are fully opened they then snap to the correct color. You say you are moving towards the Platform SDK, and I commend you for that. Operating systems have a widget toolkit for a reason. Too bad the mozilla team themselves never realized that. Cool project nonetheless. Not sure it compiles under VC++5...
