K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
I installed K-Meleon on Windows 95 OSR2 and when i tried to launch the program it was asking for this dll. Do you need IE 5 installed to have K-Meleon to run correctly?

try looking for an updated mfc42.dll at downloads.com.
IE is not required
win98,128ram,400mhz, 8.4HD, emachine
I get same error message when executing; downloaded the .dll file and tried putting it in "system", "program", "C", and in several places in the kmeleon folder.
None worked! Any idea where the file is trying to access the .dll from? thanks, frank <><
should be %windir%system on 9x or %windir%system32 if you're on NT or 2K (or XP).

You need an actual version of the DLL. With the old 4.xx version, I also got the message. When I updated to v6.00.8665.0, the message was gone. I also use win95b without MSIE.
