0.4 Can not download files

When I click on a http or ftp link to download a file, the browser tries to do something (I see the animation moving in the upper right, then it stops), but I don't get a save as box. When I just right click on a link to a file, then click on "Save Link As..." I get a Save As box then hit ok, but nothing happens. I can browse fine, and go to any web site, just can't download.

Just a note. I have tried both things on 2 different computers, one Windows ME box, the other Terminal Server into an NT 4.5. Both systems have the same issue with K-Meleon.

that's because mozilla doesn't expose the file download api yet.

0.4 can download files, it just doesn't tell you so. If you right-click and "Save Link As" and wait long enough for the file to download, it downloads; if you tell it to download without "Save Link As," it saves it as a temporary file or in your cache (I forget) with a random filename but the right extension.

This isn't a bug at all people, I love it. It's nice to download things and not open a seperate window. That's just pointless!
