After adding a bookmark, kmeleon asks me if I want to save every time I close any window. For example, I go to a site and add it. Then I open a link in a new window. After I close only this window, it asks me if I want to save the bookmarks file. Then I open another window and close it, and it asks me the same thing. It's very annoying.
It seems to be working if you disable the Netscape bookmark plugin.
