SVG Plug-In?

I could not get Adobe's SVG plug-in to work.

- installed Adobe's 3.0 viewer
- copied NPSVG3.dll and NPSVG3.zip from c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\SVG Viewer 3.0\Plugins to c:\Program Files\K-Meleon\plugins (and kplugins).
- closed K-Meleon and restarted it.

No SVG browser in Edit -> Preferences -> Plugins

By the way, it would be helpful to have the SVG installation documented on the 3rd party plugin tools page. I poked around for a while until I found the Adobe FAQ entry for Opera, which told me (kind of) what dll's to copy (the file names were close-enough).

I rebooted and now the SVG plug-in works.

Actually, those plugins would never show up under Preferences -> plugins.
You need to look at the web page "about:plugins" (that is, enter that, without the quotes, into the address bar).
Maybe we need emphasis that the Pref -> plugins is for K-Meleon plugins and not browser plugins somewhere in the pref box?

Wow, that was cool! (hmmm, five Java plugins ... )

For me, it would have been very helpful to have

1. SVG instructions (put in plugins not kplugins)
2. about:plugins vs. Preferences -> plugins.

documented on the Documentation -> 3rd Party Plugin Files page. That's where I went info.

I went to that doc page after going (repeatedly) to the Preferences -> Plugins dialog in K-Meleon. I kept thinking that maybe I missed something. HTH.
