Hia,
Some free webspace providers don't like it when you place mp3 files etc on your site. Thats why some people chnage the extention of these files. For example, files are being renamed to myfile.mp3.jpg. Now when you right click, and choose save link as, the file is being saved on the harddrive. Just rename it and you're done.
As these files can be quite big, it would be nice if the download box would popup. My guess is that K-M don't think thats neccesary because it's just a jpg.
I think that there should always popup a download box when you choose save link as..

right now the right-click save-as doesn't bring up the download dialog, regardless of extension. i do believe this is going to be changed in the future; check bug 19.
