Viewing the image at this URL:

http://www.digitaldog.net/files/Printer%20Test%20file.jpg.hqx

crashes K-Meleon with an Application Error dialog:

The instruction at "0x6083e95b" referenced memory at "0xf2ce5a4e". The memory could not be "read".

The above-mentioned crash is with KM 0.6 Build 547.

Abovementioned "image" is not an image. Its plain ASCII format for transferring files not as binary but text. The actual image is http://www.digitaldog.net/files/Printer%20Test%20file.jpg.

I have no idea why K-M even tries to display the .hqx other than perhaps because the file is being served as image/jpeg instead of application/mac-binhex40.

Sorry. I realize that .hqx is not a normal image type, but K-M seemed to start displaying it before it crashed and Mozilla 0.9.6 displays the link successfully. (Winzip is registered to handle extension .HQX on my system, so perhaps it's getting involved.)

Even if the MIME type is incorrect, I would argue that it shouldn't crash the browser.

Agreed, it shouldn't be crashing because of that. Perhaps its the mozilla engine bug back from 0.9.4? Binhex decoding is not that complex but perhaps it was buggy back then?
