Problem displaying bmps

I have just created a card for a friend, As she has cable, I left the images as bmps, rather than compressing them down to jpegs. The page, a simple table with two bmp images, renders just fine in IE, but comes up totally blank in K-meleon 0.6. If I enter the URL for one of the bitmaps, it doesn't show. Instead, I get the download dialogue box. How can I get K-meleon to show bitmaps? Thanks

you can't, mozilla (and thus k-meleon) doesn't display bitmaps. In fact, IE is the only one. I would recommend converting them to pngs, they are lossless (meaning you don't lose any color information), and compress really well.

For viewing bmps in K-Meleon, you can use the 64-KB extremely simple and nice bmp plugin from
http://entropymine.com/jason/webbmp/
Download and unzip the file npwebbmp.dll and just copy it to your K-Meleon\Plugins folder (no installation). Works quite well
