I keep getting message "the connection was refused when attempting to comtact ad.doubleclick.net"

What might be causing this........It only happens on certain URL's

The pop-up ad blocking is enabled......neither disable box is checked....
Should they be?

Sorry, I didn't ask the right question. Are you blocking ads with K-Meleon, a hosts file or some other method?

I have ad blocking on IE6 but haven't done anything to block ads on K-Meleon.
The pages that give me the error messages on K-Meleon work fine using IE6.

what are you using to block ads on IE6? Most ad-blocking methods will block ads for *all* browsers.

ads are probably being blocked on both, but only k-meleon shows the error warning every time, as discussed on some other thread around here somewhere...

I put the ad blocker on so long ago I don't remember how or where I set it up.... So I'm at a loss as to how to remove it.. My own fault !!!
