I don't want the URL bar to show addresses used. So I disabled the history plug-in and restarted K-Meleon. No effect. Then I read that this plug-in gives a drop-down history to the forward and back buttons. Not on mine it doesn't. It seems to have no effect at all. Then I cleared the memory cache and the disc cache and restarted K-Melion. Again, no effect. The URL bar still showed old addresses. Is this a bug, a fault or am I missing something?

You can either set the settings to never save URLs or you can just delete them from prefs.js if you want. Hopefully, in the next version, this process can be automated.

Thanks but it doesn't work. I keep changing the number of URLs to zero and I keep deleting old URls. Then I click OK when asked if I want to save changes. But every time I restart K-Meleon, all the old settings are back.

I'm replying to my own message to ay tha it DOEs work if you edit the prefs.js file directly. But it still doesn't work (in Windows 95) if you go to edit/preferences/config/prefs.

Sorry. Editing prefs through K-Meleon has been wonky. I'm probably going to rewrite the Docs to just recommend people again edit prefs.js directly to ensure that the changes take.
