Loads Two Copies of K-Meleon

When, in some other program, I click on a link, two copies of K-Meleon are created every time. I installed K-Meleon as the default browser for html files, and that is working fine except for this problem.
Windows 98.

I too experienced this problem. Check your file associations. When this happened to me on a freshly installed Win95 OS, I had multiple file types associated with K-meleon.
To check file types: open Explorer, click View/Options, select the File Types tab, then search through the list. I removed all HTML file types except for two: one for files with the extension '.htm', and another with the extension '.html'.
