is it possible to move the posistion of the throbber so that it lines up with the
toolbar instead of the menu bar. I want to keep the menu bar at the top but
don't like how the throbber makes the menu bar taller than necessary.
any help would be appreciated.

disabling the 'rebar menu' plugin will do this.

thanks for the tip. I don't know what this did but it worked. It appeared to make
the file menu unmoveable. The button toolbar, url bar and throbber are all movable now. thanks

it makes the menu a 'normal' menu instead of a moeveable toolbar... as a side-benefit, it also makes the Alt+<letter> menu accelerators work (more or less).
