This weird problem just started happening. As soon as I click on "Favorites" the browser crashes. I tried re-installing version 0.6 but the same thing happens.

Any suggestions?

have you installed any software recently that may have been evil enough to swap in it's own (possibly older) version of the mfc42.dll? does disabling the rebar menus plugin change anything? just a couple of random thoughts...

I tried disabling the rebar menus plugin. I tried another complete un-install and re-install. I could try replacing the mfc42.dll but there are eight of them on my hard drive and I don't know which one the browser uses? Anyone know?

check the properties of those files by right clicking on the file and from there you should be able to tell what one is the newest one and so on hope that helps

kmeleon will probably be using the one in your \windows\system\ directory, so you should probably make that one the most recent version possible... you may need to re-register it and everything, though... i believe there's an easy way to update it from the microsoft site, but i don't have the URL handy - if you do a search on these forums for 'mfc42' you'll probably find the link.

oh, and disabling the bitmap menu plugin might be worth trying, too...
