when i try to load ages in javascript the browser freezes and WIN 2k trells me that it is not responding and gives me the end task utlimatium

Clarify please - java or javascript?
I hazard a guess and suggest that it sounds like Java to me, as Javascript shouldn't take "ages to load" and freezes the computer. In which case it would help if Yogi mentioned which release of Sun's Java he/she is using.
sorry bout that what i mean is that whenever i try to open a web page with embeaded javascript commands, not only does the page not load but it also freezes and windows 2000 gives me that end task now ultimatium. i am currently running k-meleon version .6 build 547, and java 2 runtime enviroment standard edition 1.3.1-b24.
