If I start the new beta, I get only the error message

XPCOM:EventReceiver: k-meleon.exe - error in application

My system is W2K / SP3. The previous k-meleon build, Mozilla 1.2b and Phoenix 0.3 works fine on my computer.

I've already tested the new EXE and I get the same XPCOM:EventReceiver error message.

Are you doing a completely clean install? You might want to try downloading and reinstalling with the patched exe.

Yes, I am. I've removed the old k-meleon and the profile completely. The k-meleon folder doesn't exists before I install the new beta.

I downloaded the file http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/beta/kmeleon065_beta.exe again, installed it and got the same error. Then I replaced k-meleon.exe with http://kmeleon.sf.net/files/beta/k-meleon.exe and got the same error again.

After installing, k-meleon asked me once for Netscape and Opera bookmarks and then the following error message appeared.



Any ideas?

Remove the "hotlist" dll and try again. Apparently, it is buggy.
