You didnt leave it under your pillow did you? I heard 'The Tooth Fairy' is branching out into Throbbers too due to an increase in dental hygiene ;-)

user_pref("kmeleon.toolband.Throbber.visibility", true);

And check if you you really have a throbber in your skin directory. (You do lots of skinwork, right? Maybe you forgot to put it in your current skin directory.)

This is what it says right now and it's not visible

user_pref("kmeleon.toolband.Throbber.break", 0);
user_pref("kmeleon.toolband.Throbber.index", 5);
user_pref("kmeleon.toolband.Throbber.size", 28);
user_pref("kmeleon.toolband.Throbber.visibility", true);

How small is KM on your PC in its non-maximized state? There's a bug that happens when KM's non-maximized view is set to very small to the extent where it looks minimized...with only the title bar visible. Tends to make the throbber disappear when you open it to the maximized view from that state.

Did you change the throbber? KM doesn't accept throbber color depth of 32, but I'm assuming that you probably know that. But that usually results in the default lizard throbber appearing not the absence of one. I'm at a loss.

I'm at a loss too. I made no changes to anything. I even removed my throbber (from my theme) so that the default would show but it does not.

I have a missing throbber as well, from time to time. But I haven't the nerve to figure out what exactly got mixed up.
My guess is it's a x or y or lenght coordinate of a toolbar definition or something in prefs.js so the throbber is just out of the screen or behind my URL bar.

And that's what I did:
As long as everthing is OK I make a copy of the prefs.js rename it to something I can remember, like perfs.js.OK and in case of the missing throbber just got the good prefs.js back. Worked every time for me. Just keep in mind to make a new prefs.js.OK whenever you change your prefs.js on purpose.
