Is there any way to install shockwave player? After full or slim installation from adobe site I get the error message: Windows cannot find "c:\Program Files\K-Meleon\K'. and so on... what is wrong?
Any solution?

Try place a dummy file called Netscape.exe into K-Meleon folder where K-Meleon.exe is before install - Opera does that too.

Else install the plugin for any other Mozilla - Else install Netscpae 7.2 or 4.8 which gives You a number of preconfigured Netscape type plugins - If K-Meleon or Your system still tarries - copy the plugins folder of that into K-Meleon "plugins" folder.

If K-Meleon (or system) does not regecogize a plugin You can always try with needed Plugin dll files in K-Meleon plugins folder. Sometimes plugins are only used from there.

Btw. With K-Meleon 1.02 de-AT there is a GetFlash.exe ( flash updater ) inside plugins folder, maybe something similar is required for Your K-Meleon and player version too.

I have found a bug in K-Meleon setup, and it's perhaps due to this bug, if you have the problem.

According to what i understand it seems easiest to install Netscape 4.8 and then the plugin. That gives other nice plugin collection anyway :-)

I'm not sure why I do not have this problem. I have K-Meleon 1.02 installed and I CAN install Adobe Shockwave Player 10.1.4.20. I have np32dsw.dll file installed in the "C:\Program Files\K-Meleon\plugins" folder. I also have Netscape Communicator 4.8 and Netscape 8.1.2 installed on my WinME and WinXP computers. I guess people need to install at least one Netscape or Mozilla browser (and of course, the Kmeleon browser) and then run the Shockwave Player 10.1.4.20 setup program.

noel-pg2 - i agree that having Netscape 4.x ... or its file structure and name is the easiest solution ( even commmersial broswers like Opera use the later hack ).

i know i post at the wrong topic but please can anyone help me fixed this problem?
it's like that......
i tried to download shockwave player but the computer said that the internet was not able to open the site. why is this so? they said it's either unavailabe or cannot be found, please try again later.. this is frustrating... please help!!! in need of help! URGENT!
