K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Hello,
I've downloaded the package without installer "K-Meleon1.1en-US.7z", unpacked it withz 7zip and atarted "k-meleon.exe". It doesn't run neither on win98se nor on XP with SP2 (both german version). I start it, the mouse is busy for a few seconds and nothing more happens. Any idea?

I forgot something: It is Version 1.1 from 05/22/2007. V1.02 ran without problems.

You must know that .7z files not include this needed M$ dlls (installer include it);
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll
You can copy this files to K-Meleon or system folder from 1.02 version or RC or download from here;

I've brought it to run, thanks very much. One point is to take care of: If I ran k-meleon without these two files, then copy them into the program folder and run k-meleon again, it doesn't run anyway. The reason is the file "compreg.dat" in the components folder. It becomes created at the first run of k-meleon, but without the two msvc..dll files it has the wrong size (42k instead of 109k). Solution: Delete the wrong compreg.dat, copy the two msvc..dll files and run k-meleon again, then it works.
Maybe you should add a hint to the download page that the Vcredist.exe is needed (if it's not allowed to add the two files to the 7z package)
