K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Using K-Meleon 1.16+ with Win ME seems to cause bookmarks to vanish without cause. I have reverted back to 1.2 and do not have these issues. v 1.15 also seems ok. Any ideas? Thanks.
My bad guys. I thought that a later Java version caused this problem and after a full spyware/adware scan I determined that other things wiped the bookmarks. On a similiar note how about including a sandbox in the next version of K-Meleon so bad stuff like that can't get through K-Meleon?
Check whether the old bookmarks_backup.html still exists in old profile.
Ok it was NOT Java or malware. What I discovered is that K-Meleon was not feeding from bookmarks in IE and that I needed to turn on the IE favorites plugin in K-Meleon. Odd that K-Meleon won't hold bookmarks indepentantly and loose them all on reload. Also odd that K-Meleon must feed off another browser's stored fav's. Humm..
