the "www.com" copy/paste bug

This bug (not a feature for me) is going on since the old 1.1 version of k-meleon and easy repeatable:

If i highlight and copy an URL from a portion of text (not an hyperlink) and paste in the address bar, the prefix"www" and the suffix".com" are added anyway, making the URL useless.

in example the URL of this topic:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/posting.php?3

if i copy the text and the paste on the address bar will become

www.http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/posting.php?3.com
