Frequently when I type search terms into the URL bar and then click the search button, K-meleon returns search results for the contents of the clipboard rather than the URL bar.
(version 1.5.2 running under win 2k pro)
Search button not search your clipboard content, but yes have preference to search selected text in page before to search URL text typed.
Your problem is that you have selected text after copy it in clipboard and search button is searching this selected text not clipboard text.
For avoid this you must do click in some free place in web for deselected page text and you can search text in URL with search button.
