IN feature description:
Nicknames for bookmarks
Known to Mozilla users as keywords, K-Meleon uses the "Nick:" field in the Edit Bookmarks/Hotlist window to store a nickname for each of your bookmarks. This allows you to quickly go to the bookmark by typing its nickname in the URL Bar. For example: km can be the nickname for the bookmark link to the K-Meleon home page which is
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net. Now all you have to do is type km in the URL Bar and hit the enter key to go to the K-Meleon Home page.
Go to Bookmarks -> Edit ... -> Select your search engine bookmarked, Google for example, and fill his "Nick" field with g or other word.
Remember that you must bookmark the search engine's url ended in
%s, for example;
www.google.com/search?q=
%s
